COVID-19 Policy and Procedure

Following the CDC's recommendation at it pertains to COVID-19 our office. As dental professionals, we are aware of the importance of dental health to overall physical well-being and believe we have an ethical responsibility to care for our patients.

Just the same, we feel we have an obligation to offer patient care in a safe, infection-free environment. Our office has always given the utmost attention to infection control, and now is no different. We have been closely monitoring the guidance on keeping patients and staff safe from the American and Virginia Dental Associations, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Virginia Department of Health, and the CDC.

We have put in place additional measures to ensure your safety during the current pandemic. Due to these procedures, you will find we are limiting your time in the office. We are asking you to practice social distancing in our waiting room before your appointment, answer health screens when confirming your date and wear a mask unless you are the patient during the exam. We have removed all toys, books, magazines, pamphlets, and pens. We will also ask you to limit contact and keep a social distance from the staff. We are limiting who can accompany patients in the office. You will notice that our team will be using additional protective equipment. We ask for your understanding. Remember, these measures are for your safety!

We look forward to seeing you and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the above steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming our patients, neighbors, and friends back.
Thank you,

Edward J Nelson DMD
